§ 3.7. Duties.

  • The Tulsa Park and Recreation Board shall:

    A.

    Advise the Mayor and the Council on the establishment, control, management, operation, improvement, and maintenance of the public parks, playgrounds, museums, boulevards, forests, and other public recreational facilities of the city, herein referred to as the "park and recreational facilities;"

    B.

    Adopt rules and regulations for the operation of the park and recreational facilities, subject to the approval of the Council;

    C.

    Fix fees and charges for the use of the park and recreational facilities, subject to the approval of the Council;

    D.

    Recommend to the Mayor, on or before a date specified by the Mayor, an operating budget, a capital budget, and a capital program for the park and recreational facilities;

    E.

    Review and recommend to the Mayor the approval or modification of plans for the construction or improvement of park and recreational facilities;

    F.

    Recommend to the Mayor the acceptance of donations for the benefit or improvement of the park and recreational facilities and any restrictions thereon; and

    G.

    Perform such other duties as established by ordinance.
