Beginning in the calendar year following the adoption of this amendment of the Charter,
the election of City officers shall be non-partisan, and all candidates shall file
without their political party affiliation.
NOTE: This Section was amended to read as above by an amendment voted November 8,
2011, and approved by the Governor on February 21, 2012. There were 17,795 votes in
favor of the amendment and 14,594 votes against the amendment. The title to the amendment
read:
Shall the Charter of the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, be amended to provide for the non-partisan
election of City Officers?"
