§ 204. Preparation of program recyclable materials for collection.

A.

Program recyclable materials shall be placed loosely in recycling carts provided by the authority and in a manner that does not impede the free flow of materials from the cart when it is being emptied.

B.

Program recyclable materials placed outside of a recycling cart will not be serviced. The lid to the cart must close completely.

C.

Placing any item or substance that is not a program recyclable material in a recycling cart is prohibited. The collections contractor will not collect anything from a recycling cart in which a non-program recyclable material has been placed.

D.

Recycling carts that are continuously or repeatedly contaminated by items or substances that are not program recyclable materials will be removed from the residential service unit according to standards established by the director's rules and regulations.
