§ 302. Privies unlawful.

It is unlawful and a nuisance for any person in possession or control of any premises within the corporate limits of the City to construct or maintain thereon any privy, privy vault or dry closet if such property now or hereafter abuts on any lateral sewer or if such property is located in any sewer district already or hereafter established or is within two hundred fifty (250) feet of any public, district or lateral sanitary sewer line. It shall be the duty of every property owner who owns property abutting to or along the sewer lines to connect or cause to be connected his or their toilet or toilets with the sanitary sewer of the City and to make and every connection so that each and all toilets are properly connected with such sewer system in such manner that the refuse therefrom will be delivered to the sanitary sewer.
