Chapter 1. ORGANIZATION AND DUTIES |
§ 102. Duties of Department.
A.
The Department of Equipment Management is empowered to maintain and repair all vehicles and to provide general maintenance of equipment owned and operated by the City of Tulsa except vehicles and equipment operated by the Tulsa Airport Authority and certain equipment specifically designated by the Parks and Recreation Department.
B.
The Department of Equipment Management is authorized to keep and dispense such fuel and oil as is necessary to operate vehicles and equipment covered by this chapter and shall keep an accurate daily record of all such fuel and oil dispensed, noting the description or number of vehicles to which fuel or oil is delivered and the amount thereof.
C.
The Department of Equipment Management is authorized to keep and maintain an adequate inventory and to purchase and use any and all parts, materials, paint or equipment necessary to the repair and maintenance of vehicles or equipment covered herein.
D.
The Department of Equipment Management is directed to keep current and accurate records of all parts, materials, paint or equipment purchased, used or stored for future use for the repair and maintenance of vehicles. Such records shall include a description of each such item, the date of purchase, the date used and the identification of the vehicle on which such item was used.
E.
The Department of Equipment Management is authorized to develop and administer all phases of a comprehensive program of equipment management.
