§ 205. Signing of petitions.

No member of the Police Department shall be permitted to solicit or sign petitions or participate in any attempt to request the employment of any person by the City government, the promotion of any City employee or officer, or to protest the discharge or demotion of any City officer or employee, or otherwise to engage in any effort to use any influence for such purposes.
