§ 304. Delivery to other officers.

  • Upon the delivery to any county, state or federal official of any prisoner arrested and in the custody of the City police, it shall be the duty of the jailer to deliver any weapon belonging to such prisoner to the receiving officer, to deliver any valuables or money belonging to such prisoner to the prisoner himself and to take a receipt from the prisoner and the officer for the articles so delivered.

    The jailer shall not allow anyone, except the Chief of Police, the City Attorney or any regularly licensed attorney or attorneys, to visit or converse with prisoners in the jail without the written permission of the Chief, except in the presence and hearing of an officer in charge of such prisoner.
