§ 401. Composition, term and elections to the local Board of Trustees.

The Local Board shall consist of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer, who shall serve as trustees during their respective terms of office, and three (3) officers from the Police Department who shall be elected as provided herein. At least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of each member trustee's term, the City Clerk shall publicly post, at police headquarters, the announcement of a Local Board election, and the members participating in the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, either active on or retired from the City of Tulsa Police Department, shall elect by ballot one of its participating members to serve for a term of three (3) years on the Local Board. If a vacancy occurs on the Local Board, the vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner in which the position was previously filled.
