§ 133. Solicitation of passengers.

  • A.

    A chauffeur may not solicit passengers:

    1.

    From a location other than his vehicle or the immediate vicinity of his vehicle;

    2.

    In a loud or boisterous tone of voice or by the use of a voice amplification device; or

    3.

    By using another person to solicit passengers by directing passengers to his vehicle while waiting at a designated stand.

    B.

    A chauffeur shall not solicit the patronage of persons assembled at the terminal of any form of public transportation other than his own, nor at any intermediate points along any established route of any public transportation, when such persons have assembled for the purpose of using the service of the public transportation.
