§ 112. Prohibition against refusal to transport.
It shall be a violation of this code for EMSA's operations contractor to fail to respond to a call or to transport or to render emergency medical patient assessment and treatment, as appropriate, or to otherwise refuse or fail to provide any ambulance services originating within the regulated service area because of the patient's perceived, demonstrated or stated inability to pay for such services, or because of the location of the patient within the regulated service area or because of the unavailable status or the location of any ambulance unit at the time of the request.
