§ 1409. Revocation of a special event permit.

  • A.

    Any special event Permit issued under the terms of this chapter may be revoked by the City for grounds including, but not limited to, the following:

    1.

    Fraud, misrepresentation or any false statement contained in the application for the permit;

    2.

    The Organizer conducts the event for which the Permit has been issued in a reckless or an unlawful manner or in such a manner as to constitute a breach of peace;

    3.

    The conduct of the event has caused, will cause or will have the effect of an imminent threat to the public health, safety and/or general welfare;

    4.

    The Organizer fails to comply with all the terms and conditions of the special event permit or reasonable directions of the Special Events Coordinator.

    5.

    The event is being conducted in violation of any condition of the special event permit.

    6.

    The Event Organizer or any person associated with the event has failed to obtain any other permit required pursuant to this chapter.

    7.

    The special event permit was issued in error or contrary to law;

    B.

    Upon revocation of the permit, the Organizer shall immediately terminate the conduct of the event, dismantle and remove any modifications and/or obstructions located in any public rights-of-way and/or the event venue, and return the public rights-of-way and the event venue, to the original condition before the event.

    C.

    Revocation for cause shall constitute grounds for denial of subsequent permit requests.
