§ 601. Exemptions from license requirement.

A.

The following are hereby exempted from the licensing requirements of this chapter:

1.

The United States, the State, political subdivisions of the State and the City, including their employees while acting in their official capacity;

2.

The authority, including its employees while acting in their official capacity;

3.

Natural persons who, in an individual and private capacity, collect, remove, transport or dispose of solid waste not for hire, profit, consideration or advantage; and

4.

Satellite vehicles listed as satellite vehicles on the application of the licensed vehicle(s) with which they are associated and insured as provided in the rules and regulations.

B.

Certain satellite vehicles, specifically defined as self-propelled or motor-driven cycles modified for the purpose of waste collection and used in conjunction with a vehicle licensed to a waste collector, are exempt from the provisions of Title 37, Tulsa Revised Ordinances, Chapter 4, Sections 409 and 410, and Chapter 7.
