§ 116. Vehicle permit suspension.

A.

The Director may order a vehicle suspended from service for the following reasons:

1.

Failure to meet the requirements of Sections 113, 136 or 137 of this chapter; or

2.

Failure of its holder to comply with Section 111 of this chapter.

B.

Upon ordering a vehicle suspended from service, the permit sticker shall be removed from the vehicle and the vehicle may not be operated as a taxicab, paratransit vehicle or utility vehicle for hire.

C.

Upon proof of correction of the stated violation, a vehicle may be reinstated and a replacement permit sticker issued upon payment of the required fee.
