§ 140. Enforcement.

A.

The Director shall establish a procedure and designate an inspecting official to inspect, investigate and monitor the chauffeurs, holders, taxicabs, paratransit vehicles and utility vehicles for hire to ensure compliance with this chapter. Officers of the City Police Department are empowered to and shall assist in the enforcement of this chapter.

B.

An inspecting official, upon finding a violation of this chapter, may issue a citation or refer the violation to the Director for an administrative hearing pursuant to Section 103 of this chapter.

C.

An inspecting official or a City of Tulsa Police Officer may suspend from operation immediately any taxicab, paratransit vehicle or utility vehicles for hire for safety reasons.
