§ 1001. Membership.

A.

The Tulsa Youth Council shall consist of twenty-one (21) members, two (2) members from each City Council district within the City and three (3) members from the City at-large to be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the entire membership of the Council. Youth Councilors must be legal residents of the Council District for which he or she is appointed, or if at-large, a legal resident of the City of Tulsa. All members shall serve without compensation, and no members shall receive any form of payment from the City or from any trust, donation or legacy for any service relating to membership on the Tulsa Youth Council. Members shall neither hold nor be candidates for a City of Tulsa public office.

B.

A City Council Staff Liaison shall be an ex-officio member of the Tulsa Youth Council. Members of the Tulsa Youth Council shall be appointed for terms of one (1) year; however, all members shall hold office until their successors are appointed and qualified.
